Everything you need to know about getting pierced

Are there any age restrictions?

  1. Under 16s require a parent to complete the legal consent form.
  2. We offer ear lobe piercings from age 6+ (the child must clearly want the piercing.)
  3. Over 16s require photographic ID –passport / young scot card / driving license only. Birth certificates or college cards are not acceptable.
  4. Genital piercings are strictly 18+.
  5. All piercings are subject to being offered at the piercers discretion as factors other than age may need to be taken into account.

Do I need ID

  1. If you are 16 or over and will be filling in your own form, yes.
  2. Please bring government issued photo ID, such as a passport, full or provisional drivers license, or young scot card.
  3. We cannot accept pictures of ID or birth certificates.

Do I need to book an appointment?

  1. It’s best to book ahead if you want pierced on a particular day, especially at weekends as the studio gets very busy.

What metal will I be pierced with?

  1. We pierce with implant grade titanium ASTM F-136 as standard, also 14K & 18K Yellow, White & Rose Gold.

Which jewellery brands do you stock?

  1. We have a large selection of jewellery to cater for all budgets including Junipurr Gold, Anatometal Titanium & Gold, Neometal Titanium, Tish Lyon Gold & Ti-Couture.

Can I buy jewellery from you even if the piercing was done elsewhere?

  1. Of course! We love helping everyone reach their piercing goals. We very often help people with complete makeovers for their piercings.

Will you help me change the jewellery I have purchased?

  1. We will always be happy to install any jewellery purchased within the studio for you.

Will it hurt?

  1. Almost every client reports that their piercing was not as bad as they anticipated. Our piercers also do everything we can to make your experience as comfortable as possible.

Can I bring my own jewellery?

  1. We have strict quality and hygiene protocols within the studio, as well as laws to comply with for body jewellery. For this reason we will only insert jewellery purchased in the studio.

Do you use a gun?

  1. NO! Guns are unsafe for a long list of reasons, but the main one being they cannot be sterilised and are filthy. You do not want blood spatter and germs from the hundreds of people pierced before you going into your fresh piercing! They also use blunt force trauma and unsuitable jewellery for initial piercing which causes excessive trauma and tissue damage, leading to long and painful healing, if they heal at all.

How do I look after my piercing?

  1. Full aftercare is given both written and verbally at the time of your piercing. If you have any concerns with your piercing please contact the studio by phone or via our social media pages.

Can I be pierced when I am pregnant?

  1. We will not pierce anyone that is pregnant or breast feeding, and you must wait at least 3 months post birth (if not breast feeding).  Your immune system has bigger things to do than heal a piercing!
